Job Description

Tech Superpowers (TSP) is hiring a Marketing Director to develop strategic marketing initiatives and drive business growth by developing and implementing lead-generation strategies across various channels, including social media, digital marketing, and events. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of digital marketing tools and techniques and have experience creating and nurturing a pipeline of potential clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Creation and Management: Develop and execute industry events to enhance Tech Superpowers’ brand visibility and nurture relationships within the Boston startup community. Represent Tech Superpowers as a thought leader by engaging in relevant networks and social channels and at industry events/conferences to network with potential clients and partners, gathering intelligence that supports business development. Coordinate all aspects of event planning, from budgeting venue selection to post-event evaluation, to ensure impactful experiences. Experience with MassChallenge, TechStars, MassRobotics, Greentown Labs, and/or Venture Lane is a plus.
  • Lead Generation Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive lead generation plan that includes digital marketing, social media, and event participation. Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify new lead-generation opportunities and strategies.
  • Social Media Marketing: Utilize social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and engage potential clients. Create and share engaging content that drives interaction and leads, tailoring strategies for each platform to maximize results.
  • Digital Marketing: Oversee and optimize digital marketing efforts, including SEO, PPC, email campaigns, and online advertising. Manage relationships with external digital marketing agencies to ensure campaign alignment with business objectives. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies based on data-driven insights to improve ROI.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including legal and finance, to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives. Foster cross-functional alignment and effective communication throughout the partnership lifecycle.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Develop and implement metrics to track the performance and impact of partnerships. Provide regular analysis to senior management, highlighting key insights, opportunities, and strategies.
  • Strategic Leadership: Keep up-to-date on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies that are creating high-growth companies. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field of experience.
  • Seeking a candidate with 7+ years of experience in marketing with a focus on lead generation, preferably in the technology sector.
  • The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and self-motivated, able to build a marketing strategy in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media strategies, and event management
  • Excellent analytical skills to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience managing external agencies and partners.
