IT Support Engineer, Cambridge MA

  • Responsibilities

    • Respond to incoming help requests via phone or via the ticket tracking system in a prompt and courteous manner
    • Utilize time management skills to prioritize and schedule help requests in order to adhere to deadlines and SLAs
    • Lead Project Team to oversee execution of assigned tasks and lend presence on jobs requiring an extra set of hands
    • Take ownership of new or current products, becoming an internal SME while training and coaching team members on the product
    • At times, provide support and coverage for Level 1 tasks
  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 3-5 years in-the-field experience with maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting various technology environments
    • Proficient understanding of both macOS and Windows
    • Hands-on experience with setup, configuration and troubleshooting of firewalls, switches and peripheral networking hardware
    • Solid understanding of network technologies involving Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with personnel at all levels and with varying degrees of technical aptitude
    • The passion to learn and grow
    • Willingness to work occasional nights and weekend
    • Must be able to carry and lift up to 25 lbs.
    • Must have a driver’s license and the ability to travel to client sites
  • Other Desired Experience

    • Experience working with ConnectWise or equivalent PSA system
    • Experience working within the Managed Services realm is highly desirable
    • Ability to create a project plan from only a high-level technical specification; ability to carry out project plans and report accurately on time and work done
    • Hands-on experience managing or servicing a Microsoft Office 365 or GSuite for Business environment
    • Experience in communication and collaboration tools ranging from email to cloud-based software
    • Experience working with Jamf Pro or another MDM provider

    Hybrid remote role, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    TSP is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join the TSP team in Cambridge, MA.  Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for executing the day-to-day operational and financial accounting activities, and to deliver the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting results of the company to Senior Management. The Accounting Manager must have a start-up mentality, be open to change and have the curiosity and drive to adopt changing processes, procedures and technology tools as the company grows.

  • Responsibilities

    • Plans, coordinates and executes on all general accounting and day-to-day finance operations for the company.
    • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
    • Prepares tax-based monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
    • Publishes timely monthly financial statements and closes month-end.
    • Maintains the general ledger.
    • Prepares and manages all client billing across multiple platforms.
    • Verifies, codes, and completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures expenditures are allocated to the appropriate accounts.
    • Communicates with staff and vendors regarding payment inquiries in a timely manner to resolve related issues/disputes.
    • Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses bank inquires.
    • Manages accounts receivable collections.
    • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
    • Assists Director of Finance with the development of best practices accounting policies and procedures and recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.
    • Recommends financial strategies, objectives, and policies to management.
    • Works with the Director of Finance in developing and monitoring business performance metrics and advises on cost containment strategies.
    • Coordinates with software vendors to maintain accounting software systems.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of related accounting and/or finance experience required.
    • Must have experience working with QuickBooks Online, Google Drive, Word, and Excel
    • Working knowledge of ConnectWise, D-Tools and payment processing tools such as Bill.com or Slack.com is a plus
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with personnel at all levels.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion to learn and grow.
    • Must be flexible and willing to adapt and learn next technologies
    • Willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects.
